Proses dan Pengalaman Melahirkan Arletta

So long.. Udah lama banget ngga nulis blog, even buka blog ini aja jarang.

Sejak usia kandungan menginjak 36/37 minggu, saya udah mulai check up ke dokter spesialis obgyn (dsog) seminggu sekali.

Saya dijadwalkan operasi jam 11 siang besok. Malamnya kami berdua ngga bisa tidur, udah bolak-balik posisi tidur, ngobrol ngalor ngidul, nonton film, dan sebagainya. Ngga ngantuk juga. Sama-sama salah tingkah dan tegang dan ga nyangka "woow mulai besok kita tidur bertiga dan kemana-mana bertiga". Akhrinya kami baru tidur subuh dan pagi nya langsung berangkat ke RS Medika BSD.

23 Januari 2014
07.00 WIB

09.00 WIB
Di-tes segala macem mulai dari CTG, tes kekentalan darah, lab, cek alergi, dst dst.

11.00 WIB
Taadaaaaa! Waktunya masuk ruang operasi! Dag dig dug dhuarrr! Ngebayanginnya takut banget. Gilang nganter sampe pintu ruang operasi.

11.21 WIB
Ya Tuhan, jadi ini ya rasanya love at the first sight. She's really beautiful. Proses IMD dimulai, dan ngga nyagka sukses. Letta nenen pinter banget, bahagiaaa rasanya.

11.40 WIB
Letta dibawa ke Ayahnya untuk di-adzan-i. Uh, padahal aku ingin lihat moment ituh.

12.00 WIB

Hello Again

Hai blogs..
Udah lama banget nggak update bahkan buka-buka blog ini. Banyak banget yang mau ditulis tapi kalau ditulis semuanya, kayaknya bakal panjang banget. Sebelum nulis ini, saya baca-baca blog ini dari first post sampe the last post, rasanya senang. Pengen banget ngerayain kecil-kecilan berdua suami, or at least bisa sama-sama di hari tersebut having quality time just the two of us, tapi kayaknya nggak bisa karena saya di Jakarta dan suami di Singapore masih sekolah.

Anyway, here's my first day of being older:
1. Malamnya jam 10an saya udah tidur pulas karena sebelumnya Gilang bilang mau tidur juga, tadinya sih ngarep buat skype tengah malem gitu, tp berhubung dia capek dan mau istirahat yasudah gpp kalo begitu tidur ajaa. laptop masih nyala dikasur dengan skype yang always online ngarep tiba tiba Gilang video call, handphone semua silent dan disimpen didepan meja rias karena aah siapa yang mau telpon, Gilang aja tidur. Pagi jam 5.30 saya bangun dan cek hp, Aaaaa!! Suamiku telpoooonnn. Nyeselnyaaa ngga ada dua, kenapa ngga keangkatt. He is always unpredictable. Kirain ngga bakal nelpon hahaha :D
2. Have a small birthday breakfast with family.
3. Chit-chat and quality time with family at home.
4. Have an early dinner, sharing stories, and karaoke with my bestfriend at istana nelayan. And got a birthday surprise from them. You guys are sooo sweet! :D and ditengah-tengah canda sama temen-temen, Gilang said sorry via whatsapp ke saya karena ngga bisa nemenin :') *it's more than enough for me..:')

5. Skype with my all time favorite, Gilang Adi... Nyempetin skype ditengah-tengah waktu belajarnya. Makaci yaa Gilang Adi kuuu, I love you most :')

Long Distance Marriage

Me and Gilang are a newlywed who separate temporarily because of our school is in different countries. Gilang in Singapore while I'm in Indonesia. At this time (11pm) is the most difficult time for me. Its a bed time! You know, Gilang always give his hand to base my head every bed and I aaalways hug him tight until I fall asleep. Skype? We are not everyday-user of skype because Gilang is too busy with his assignment. and I have to understand.

KEY? Key for long distance marriage is..

  1. Communication. Keep it open on a daily basis. Just simply send text messages if you cant make a video call. Or try to send short video instead of video call :)
  2. Be honest about your concerns and fears about your separation.
  3. Understanding. Try to understand partner's mood.
  4. Create a comfortable atmosphere while communicating.
  5. Support each other.
  6. Pray for each other.
  7. Surprise each other once in a while with a phone call.
  8. Plan the next honeymoon :D
My All Time Favorite :')
P.S.: miss u all the time, Gilang Adi :')

Reasons Why I Married My Husband

  1. He has a relationship with God,
  2. He makes me feel safe. He always let me walk on the inside of the sidewalk,
  3. He has excellent communication skills,
  4. He is a family man and really love his mom, I want to have a son like him,
  5. He is the keeper of my secrets and one of my favorite shopping buddies,
  6. He is my best friend. I can tell him anything and he’ll be there to share in my joy and my sadness,
  7. I respect him. Simply because he respect me too.
  8. He won’t let me carry the heavier groceries,
  9. He is good at sport,
  10. He holds my hand when we cross the street,
  11. He always gives his arm to base my head every bed,
  12. He makes me feel beautiful,
  13. He knows how to dress,
  14. I always feel thankful that he’s in my life. I’m not sure he knows I do this, but sometimes when he is sleeping I place my hand on his head and pray and of course enjoy his  face,
  15. He knows how to be silly. My husband is usually a very serious and professional person. He enjoys discussing the economy and politics (for me, its very boring!). There are those times though when we’ll spend the entire day just being silly. We’ll joke around with each other most of the day, say and do silly things,
  16. He drive me around to many different stores and boutiques just to find one denim skirt for me even he’s busy and tired :p

Cooking For Gilang And Friends

Since tomorrow i will be leaving Singapore, Gilang asked me to cook for lunch today for him and his friends. So i decided to cook the easiest food, and also the earliest pastas I know of & enjoyed when I was a kid. Spaghetti bolognese!! I make it easier by using instant sauce that you can buy it in supermarket. I’m using Classico Spicy Red Pepper which I bought at Cold Storage yesterday. Unfortunately the taste of Classico Spicy Red Pepper is not spicy as it name, but we can easily add chili sauce into it, and I use Extra Hot Chili Sauce from ABC.  The combination between them is verrryyy goodd! Don’t forget to sprinkled the sauce with shredded parmesan cheese.
And I'm glad that they love my spaghetti! :D
Ingredients:
  • Spaghetti pasta
  • Pasta sauce
  • Chili sauce
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Minced beef
  • Black pepper
  • Salt
  • Margarine
 Instruction:

  1. Bring a pot of water with 1tbsp salt to boil. Cook pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside the pasta.
  2. In a pan, add margarine and cook minced beef, browning and distributing the meat evenly.
  3. Add the instant pasta sauce and chili sauce (optional), stirring occasionally. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Add cooked pasta to the meat saucepan. Season with black pepper.
  5. Plate the spaghetti and top with shredded parmesan cheese.

The Most Supportive Man

I'm in Singapore since last sunday . Every day here is always so much fun! I'm sure, it's because of my husband is around! So, This morning we woke up at 10a.m. Gilang went to multi hall to met his friends for group discussion while I just stayed in bed because I felt unwell. After Gilang came back home, I was still laying in bed and not showered yet. He came to me, hugged me, kissed me, took care of me, cheer me up. I was .... suddenly feeling good. I asked him, "do u want some brunch?" and i cooked spaghetti for him. Happiness is simple as simple as Gilang eat my cooking :")

After brunch, Gilang continue his discussion with his friends at the living room while I was in bedroom and got phone call from femina magazine. They said, I was called to do a photo shoot on Tuesday. I told that to Gilang "hon, I was called by femina magazine for photo shoot on Tuesday and I need bla bla bla bla." He was grinning and whispered me, "its okay hon, I'll support you.. congrats!" That's very sweet of you... hehe.. :")

At night we went to orchard for dinner and bought something we (me actually) need. On the way home, we talked about something I have to be done but I haven't finish it yet. Gilang was a bit angry to me :(

And now, we're home. I'm in the bedroom (write this blog) and Gilang have discussion again at the living room. And.... In the middle of discussion!! (NOW!) He JUST came to me and said, "I'm sorry if I was angry, it's just for a better you" then he gives me a hugs and kisses.

For me, he is amazing. He always supports me, even when I'm down. Fyi, my trip to Singapore now is because I felt very down, and no one can handle me even myself. Once I arrived in singapore, I told everything to Gilang and he gave me some advice, he cheer me up, he show me how to look the problem in a good perspective, in a bigger picture, and how to face it in a very mature way..

Thanks hon.. Thank you for your support, Thank you for your patience, Thank you for a good communication, Thank you for everything :")

Lessons From A Newlyweds

I've been married for three months and now am about to share about married things. Me and Gilang, We are both learning, every day, how to live with each other, how to speak to each other, how to support each other, and how to respect each other. And, while it’s amazing, it’s hard work. And sometimes, I just don’t want to do it. But we continue on because we value each other, we value our relationship, and we value personal growth in ourselves. Because we know what we’re working for. We love each other through those hard moments, the selfish moments, because that’s what we are choosing to do.

Communication
Good communication will make the relationship better, while poor communication can only worsen the situation. Often we can not hold back our emotions, so that the words that came out of our mouths just a moment of emotion. Therefore we must understand each other. Understand how to communicate well, understand the feelings and partner's mood. I am thankful and blessed to have a husband who is very understanding. Very understands me, very understand how to communicate well, teach me how to communicate in a mature way. When we have a disagreement we don’t scream at each other and throw things. Rather, we talk about it and work through it together as a team. I’m open to him speaking into my life, and the same is true of him. Even if you or your spouse aren’t the best communicators, you can learn to communicate well. The first steps to learning are humbling yourself and admitting that there is room to grow in this area.

Patience
Patience is key. Cultivate it, nurture it! When you’re merging two lives, two different habits, two different pasts, etc. You have to be patient to each other and with yourselves.Think about ways to show your partner patience, and learn to really truly listen with an open mind.

Respect
When we are mad at each other or feeling emotionally hurt, we give the other some space and then talk it through. first, my normal anger default would be to yell and showing scowl face. But even when I am tempted to do that now, I hold my tongue. Why? Because my husband never yells or says mean things to me so I want to show him at least the same amount of respect that he shows me. If you want to show respect for your spouse, you have to grow up. Take name-calling and spiteful behavior out of the equation. Remember, respect is a choice.

Honesty
Seek after what is true. When you are confused, or frustrated, or feel misunderstood, don’t automatically assume that your partners intention was to hurt you. Always assume the best in each other. We’ve discovered that so many of the little issues we have are typically due to one of us (hmmm, me) overreacting, or making false assumptions before talking about the situation together. Use that patience you’re cultivating to calm yourself down (and bite your tongue) and stop to consider what you know to be true about your spouse before anything else.

Each person has a different experience. That was my experience and lessons that can be taken for 3 months I have a husband. Hmmm, and do not forget to put your spouse in the best position in the public (and private)! It’s awkward when i hear someone say something embarrassing about their spouse in public, even if they are “joking.” Often their spouse is not present but sometimes they are standing right next to them. This can only bring harm to a marriage. Make it a point to be your spouse’s biggest cheerleader…to everyone! This extends to family life as well. Compliment your spouse in front of your kids, to your extended family, to your friends. When you are alone together, regularly tell your spouse how special they are. This goes a long way in showing love and respect and in bolstering your relationship to withstand difficult times.

Akad Nikah (9 Juni 2012 - 08.00 WIB)

Finallyyy.. We're officially married..
